Juvenile White Shark Data Dump
Posted April 30th, 2007 by JaneStevens
The guys from the white shark team -- Kevin Weng (left) and Sal Jorgensen (right) -- are busy working up the data retrieved from the juvenile white shark's tag, which was scooped out of the ocean last week off Mexico. That's the tag, in Kevin's hand. A sneak peek at the data reveals that the shark swam around 300 miles off the coast of Northern California before heading south to Baja. They'll be using a combination of light levels and sea surface temperature from the tag's records to recreate the shark's track. More details coming later this week!
